My grandmother Isabella Forrester. was born in Kilmarnock in 1878. She came to Australia in 1928, leaving behind four siblings; from a large family, many dying in infancy. Associated names: MC GEACHIE, BROWN, FLEMING, FULTON, MARSHALL. There is a belief in the family that at a sister and a brother went to U.S.A. or Canada. Possible names for the U.S./Canadian connection: FORRESTER (David b. 1870, married Hannah Brown), MC GEACHIE (Agnes Forrester b. 1867 married Robert McGeachie. Other names I'm researching in Kilmarnock: BOWMAN, ARMOUR, MC LINTOCK, WYLLIE, MURRAY, SMALL, DUNCAN. I would dearly love to find some descendants of my grandmother's family - perhaps in Canada or the U.S.A. I do know that some are still living in Kilmarnock. Here's hoping. Happy new year everybody.
