Larry,I'm not sure I was the person that originally replied -- but anyway:
ASCH, or AS as it is called today, is in the Czech Republic, directly on the
boarder to Germany. You can find maps using:

I live in an area of Austria that was completely devatated by the Hussites.
A tower of a fortress about 100 yards from where I now sit is still called the
"Hussitenturm" -- i.e. the Hussite tower !
