Subject: [AUSTRIA-L] FINDING AN IMMIGRATION LISTING - Passenger HARKINK
Date: Sun, 22 Feb 98 12:08:00 PST
DEAR FRIENDS:
Using "Germans to America" to find my German ancestors has been
helpful and moderatly successful. Is there a "summary" available
like GTA (without having to go to an LDS Library or NARA location to
pour through all the Passenger films ) that will help me locate a Dutch
ancestor? And what is the likelihood of this "summary" being at my
local library?
I only know the individual's name (BERNHARD HARKINK) and an
approximate arrival time period (1895 to 1903). He "supposedly"
lived in Hilversum, Netherlands prior to his journey, but this is
unconfirmed. He could have resided in another NLD town. His
date of birth is July 21, 1877. He came to the USA by himself. Soon
(?? -- don't know how long) after his arrival, he lived in Indianapolis,
Indiana, which is where he met his wife - THERESA MIKOLITSCH (an
Austrian by birth - DOB Oct 8, 1883, DOD Sep 20, 1961, but don't know
when she arrived in USA either since I haven't researched this yet).
We don't have a marriage date, but it was probably 1903-1904,
because their first son was born in May 1905.
ANY HELP that you can provide would be GREATLY, GREATLY
APPRECIATED!!!! Thanks.
NAMES RESEARCHING IN THIS FAMILY: HARKINK, MIKOLITSCH
(could be Mickolitsch, Micolitsch, Mikolitsh, etc.), VAN WEST, GEISLER,
SEPER (in Austria),
