Hello,
I am new to Austrian research also.
Looking for connections to the surname KURANKO, may be spelled a bit
differently, have been told the N was sideways and had a ~ mark above one of the
letters. Does anyone know why this was done? What it might mean or where it
came from?
I have the Kuranko line from when it came to the U.S. (Pierce COunty, WA town of
Wilkeson/Carbonado area) and would be happy to share it with some one connecting
to the old country....so any KURANKO anytime and any place!!
Haven't ever met one yet that isn't connected in the States.
Cherie Kuranko
