Dear John Re AMERICANS IN Australia American Australian
Heritage Exhibition

June 9-Aug 22 Immigration Museum, Melb, Flinders St

Website: www.americanasutralians.org

Welcome to the Aussie list John.

You might like to try www.prov.vic.gov.au <http://www.prov.vic.gov.au/>;
which will give you passenger lists which arrived to Melbourne,
capital of Victoria and then do the same for NSW. There are heaps of Harveys
as I had a look. I found
several Charles and Arthurs.

I'll have a look elsewhere.

I am also the Project Coordinator for the American Australians Project that
seeks to identify, document,
preserve and to promote awareness of American immigrants from the past and
the present. We are staging
an American Heritage in Australia Exhibition at Museum Victoria's
Immigration Campus this June 9th through
August 22nd 2005, so who knows what might come out of it.

Let me know also if you do find them, and I'll do some further tracking.

Cheers Keith Smiley

Hi

This is the first time that I have joined an Aussie list so please be gentle
with me:

I have only recently discovered that two of my grandfathers brothers went to
Australia between say 1890 & 1910, problem I have no idea where they would
have landed and therefore I have no Idea where to look for them, one of them
possibly arrived via South Africa having decided to try there first: Their
Names were Charles & Arthur Harvey.

Can any body give me an inkling of where to start Thanking some kind soul in
advance John Harvey
