Gee Ada, I've got heaps of contradictions and mysteries I'd be happy to
send you. <VBG>

Just this week I discovered that the Certificate of Freedom I have for one
of my convicts isn't. It's a TOL headed CoF, apparently.

One official document says he died 1841, another 1849. BDMs don't say he
died at all. <G>

I have an ancestor called Ellen FITZGERALD (from BDM certificates, working
backwards from me) daughter of John FITZGERALD who other people think is
one Ellen AYMER/AMAR, convict. Because there is no marriage for Ellen F to
the right man, but there is a marriage to Ellen A & a permission to marry.

Then there's all the ones who were there one minute disappeared the next....

Sorry, your message really tickled my funny bone and I couldn't help
myself. :-)

Regards
Pam
