Looking for the descendants of John Marshall and Mary Ann Collins who appear
on my niece's family tree.



John was born 27/9/1842 the son of Thomas Marshall & Honor Williams. He
married Mary Ann Collins in about 1857 but there is no record of it in the
SA CD's anywhere. She was born in about 1845 but I don't know who her
parents were.



They had 5 children:-



Clara Collins Marshall born 14/5/1858 at Willunga - she married Hammond
Frank Wells in 1883 at Gawler and had children Nicholas Hammond, Norman
Frank Collins, Herbert Victor and Clara Maud Victoria. Their son Nicholas
married Edith May Giles; and their daughter Clara married Percy Palmerston
Carbery.



John Henry Marshall born 1860 died 1875



William Marshall born 15/3/1862 at Cockatoo Flat - he married Betsy or
Bessie Lawrence born 12/3/1861 at Lyndoch the daughter of Joseph Lawrence
and Elizabeth Haines. William and Bessie had 10 kids - Elizabeth Emily Ann,
Joseph William (who turns out to be my ex-husband's grandfather - he married
Beatrice Isabell Lawrence), Beatrice Mary, Elsie Maud, Alex or Alexander
Lawrence, Eric John who married Hilda Mary Mason, Florence Valerie who
married Sydney Ernest Pollard, Albert Norman who married Racheal Ruth
Pollard, Gwendoline Mary who married William Ernest Ellis, and Kenneth
Lawrence who married Peal Elizabeth Libby.



Elizabeth Ann Marshall born 3/4/1865 at Allen's Creek - she married William
Neville Thorn in 1878 at Gawler - they had 7 kids - Ethel Maud, William
Horace Neville, Frank Norman, Margaret, Florence Elizabeth, Leslie and
Olive.



If you are related to any of the above, I would love to hear from you.



PLEASE DO NOT do lookups on SA CD's as I have them, and have extracted
everything I can find on these families from them.
