I have just found out than an ancestor of mine John ATTERTON (gardener) and his wife Susan and children George, Ellen and Emily emigrated to Adelaide in 1853.

They sailed on the 'Epaminondas' from Southampton, England on the 29 August and arrived in Adelaide 24 December 1853.

How can I go about researching this family after their arrival? Australian research is new to me.
