Rade Au asked about William TRESIDDER 21 who married 1850-11-24 to Elizabeth Jane DUNSTONE 19
He arrived South Australia on board the Anna, from Liverpool via Sydney

Sheelagh Wiles is looking for the William Nichol arriving Adelaide 1842

Peter Hooper asked about Di's reference to "the 1836-1851 database". Where is this available please? I have found a number of user friendly resources for the period up to, say, 1842 which cover a number of my relies, but after that it seems almost a ship by ship search. Is there an easier way, please?
My replies: an Easier Way will be avaiable soon - see below.
SKS = some kind soul
BISA = Biographical Index South Australia
Karen asked about William REYNOLDS - he arrived South Australia on board the JAVA in 1840.

Karen also asked if the applications for free passage still exist, and whether they might indicate where the applicant came from?
Answer to both questions: Sorry - don't really know - quite possibly no.
(Or any other way of telling where the passengers came from?) - try the BISA - local libries in SA, State Libraries and LatterDay Family History Centres elsewhere.
Re: When is this fabulous database available?
Following my next trip to Adelaide (from Melbourne at the end of July), to collect copies of original passenger lists, I'll be updating my webpages - hopefully with given names and ages (and etc if available).
Then I'll be sending a CD of all "the stuff" to be published as a CD, which will be launched in October at the SA Family History Expo - possible at a special "Show Price". That means - see me at the show.
Pulteney Grammar School, 190 South Tce, Adelaide - Saturday 15 October 2005 10.30am - 4.00pm
General Public Admission Cost: General admission $5, Concession $3
Cheers from Di Cummings of Melbourne
