I am nearing the stage where I shall have a number of arrivals to
research and was interested Di's reference to "the 1836-1851
database". Where is this available please? I have found a number of
user friendly resources for the period up to, say, 1842 which cover a
number of my relies, but after that it seems almost a ship by ship
search. Is there an easier way, please?

On the subject of lookups to whom or what is the frequent reference "SKS"?

I am also going to have to start looking into place names in the near
future. Not only issues such as where is/was Finniss Vale Rapid Bay,
eg, but also are, eg, Booleroo, Hd of Booleroo, centre Booleroo one and
the same place? Are there any suggestions as to appropriate resources
please?

Finally, I am currently seeking arrival information for Alexander
Florence (and family). Alexander married Isabella Dougall 8-11-1852 in
Macclesfield, so obviously arrived prior to that date. I estimate date
of birth as c 1816. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

>John - they are not on the 1836-1851 database. Maybe they arrived after 1851. At the moment the only thing I can suggest is: maybe SKS could check the BISA for any clues, or maybe take a look at some of the old Directories. Little needles (365 days) in big haystacks (each one a year - up to 1891) are really hard to find.
