Good Afternoon List

asking a request for my mum

we are looking for the quote "tragic death" of
John Wesley SMITH
he died aged 22 yrs old Coromandel Valley abt 1957
his father was Frank Smith and mother Hilda ?
John is buried at Centenial Park Cemetery

there was a memorial plaque in his honour as what we used to call Smithy's Dam , it is now called John Wesley Smith Memorial Lake
"Smithy's Dam" was our , shall we say local swimming pool !
and was used a lot by the local children , me included lol
I am trying to find information as to the surroundings of his death

any help much appreciated Please
