HI hope this helps others if you brought this disk and used it on 98 and now have xp you can down load a patch. other disks could be the same

The Index of Wills was first published before the advent of XP, and so the versions from that date are not immediately compatible. However there is a patch to resolve problems with XP on our web site at:

We re-issued an XP compatible version of this CD some time ago, and all CDs shipped from our office are now XP compatible. However we still offer technical support on all versions of our CDs, and to date we have been able to get all earlier versions to work on XP.
