I note that the Australian War Memorial has the following information on
your grandfather:

8 items: last letter from Crowle to his wife including details of his
wounding and letters of condolence. notebooks and photographs (no captions)
also included

Hi everybody,
I'm new to the list and I was hoping sks could search the records of
"PHOTOGRAPHS OF S.A. SOLDIERS, SAILORS AND NURSES ENGAGED IN WORLD WAR
ONE" Ref; GRG 26/5/4 (Also GRG 26/5/5 microfiche format for sale?)

I'm trying to find at least one photo of my grandfather, who died of
wounds in France 1916.
He was 2nd Lt. Herbert Walter CROWLE. 10th Battalion., b. 29 Feb. 1884
Melbourne, enlisted S.A. 12 Dec 1914.
