Subject: [AUS-SAGEN] Semaphore death query -SINCLAIR

Thanks very much to all those who suggested Cheltenham for the likely burial place of an elusive Shetlander.
The man I'm searching for is Simon SINCLAIR, who died (according to "The Chronicle" 25/1/1939. I've done a search through the PO Directories around this time and think he lived at 49 Exmouth Terrace Exeter. All this fits nicely with what his Shetland family know about him.
Some of his kids are still alive and would dearly love to know anything at all about his life in SA. I've sent for the death certificate so hopefully someone out here might have known something about him. According to his kids he died about the time given above and they had a vague idea he was last seen living in Port Adelaide. He left his wife and kids in Shetland with the intention of making a new life for them in Australia. When he sent for them his wife refused to emigrate, so that was the last they saw of him. As I'm going to Shetland next year I'd dearly love to be able to tell the family something of their father's life. So if anyone knows or has come across the man in their travels I'd love to hear from them!
Thanks again,
Robyn
