Your request is difficult as the CD database only goes to 1906. After that
date the only index if on microfiche by surname.

Subject: [AUS-SAGEN] Help with a child given away

> Hi all,
> My grandmother always used to tell me how when she was very young, her
widowed mother had a child to someone unknown (though we think it may have
been her deceased husband's brother who apparently had raped her) and how
she remembered going to a house in Adelaide with the baby girl and coming
back without it.
>
> This lady was Hilda Elizabeth CHANNON, her married name was HOSKING. Her
husband died in Jun 1909 leaving her with 2 small daughters. Annie
Christobel Grace -Born in 1904, and my grandmother Gwenda Elizabeth born
1906.
>
> I was wondering if someone could just have a look for any births with the
mother as Hilda. As I said, I dont know who the father was. I'm assuming
it would have been between Jun 1909 and Nov 1913 when she remarried a Wiliem
CYLICH.
