Hi List,

Thanks for the discussion about Gawler. It has given me an indirect lead
on my MILLER family, and some books to track down.

Meanwhile, seeing that there are others interested in Gawler, I was
hoping that someone might be able to help with the following:

I am interested in a William MILLER (born c1827, died 1898) who was a
butcher in several places in SA including Mitcham and Gawler. William
married Ruth BURFIELD in 1862.

Ruth's sister Hannah BURFIELD married a William BARNET bookseller of
Gawler in 1861. "The Bunyip" web page says that the founder of the paper
was a William BARNET. Same person?

If anyone has come across any information about William MILLER, I would
love to hear from you.
