Hi Everyone,
I am interested in researching a journey my Grandfather, Charles Godfrey, made with a group of others in the 1920's I believe.
They were a number of people, all in the confectionary trade, who travelled from Adelaide to Alice Springs in a number of cars to attend the opening of a special hospital. It was something to do with Rev. John Flynn. They had raised money to help in the building of this hospital.
I have an amazing set of 20 or more photos of the expedition but no information, only little bits of family stories.
I have tried in the past contacting the RFDS but they have never answered my letters.
Does anyone have any information about this expedition or suggestions how to go about this?
Many Thanks
Jan,
Sassafras, Vic
