Hi Listers,

I am new to this particular mailing list and thought I would post my surname interests.

My interests are in the descendants of Levi William CHEARY, builder and Sarah Ann BRITTAIN, who arrived in S.A. with their children in 1883 and lived in the Goodwood area. I have managed to trace most of their descendants, but there a couple of links that I am having difficulty with. Levi's home was known as Ravenswood.

WEST/CHEARY/HOLDEN
Levi's daughter, Rhoda Eliza (Lizzie) 1876-1952 married Henry William WEST 1864-1935, plumber, in Fremantle in 1902. The couple, who lived in the Goodwood area after their return from W.A., had three children that survived into adulthood. They were:
Dorothy Kathleen, 1905-1975, born Forestville, married Denzil William HOLDEN in 1931. Denzil died in New Zealand in 1998. They had one son, Ralph who married Mary (surname unknown)
George, born abt. 1912. Not sure where, but definitely not in Adelaide district.
Keith William, born 1916 in Goodwood.

CHEARY/SOUTHWELL
Levi's youngest son Frederick (1884-1967), who lived in the Malvern area with his wife Myrtle, formerly SHARPE (1886-1964) had two daughters. They were:
Beryl May b. 1910 in Malvern and married William Jack SOUTHWELL in 1935.
Lorna Mavis b. 1921 in Malvern.

If anyone has links to any of the individuals listed above, I would be very pleased to hear from you.
