Hi Kevin,

I may well be on the wrong path completely but I had to send this to you in
case it was the right one. You didn't mention the mothers maiden name but
the Brisbane link is what I looked at as well as the time frame.

I had as look in the Victorian indexes & found the following information. It
looks like when they arrived in Brisbane they had X no: children one of whom
was born in 1866 in Brisbane who later died in Melbourne aged 2 yrs. In
1869, 1871,they had 2 children in Maryborough outside Melbourne & then in
1872 they lost the first child born in Melbourne. Trouble is I can find no
birth for the last child who died in Richmond, Vic (inner sub Melb)she died
in 1883 aged 8mths so at earliest was born in 1882.

I have to say I am wondering if your Richmond SA could actually be Richmond
Victoria as I think I found James Corby snr's death in 1883 in Richmond
Victoria, (Victoria is a southern state of Australia)parents Charles &
Elizabeth her was 41 at the time of death in Richmond, Victoria. I also
found Anne Corby nee Simmonds death in Richmond Victoria in 1885, she was 42
yrs & her parents were John Simmonds & Ann Watkins. Do you have a marriage
certificate for James & Ann in Brisbane? If not this may be why......
