Has anyone done any research on the Stamboul - ship from Liverpool to SA
arriving in January 1858.
My ancestors (or who I think may be my ancestors) arrived on this ship. One of
the children died on the voyage (Elizabeth WILLIS age 3 years). Also there is the
possibility that there was a birth on the ship of William WILLIS to Thomas and
Ann WILLIS. The SA Bio Index lists William as one of the family with birth date
c1857.
Would there be a registration in the ships records or would it have been done
once they reached SA?
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
