Subject: DAVIS family and SQUIRE family - my Horrible Haynes
Date: Fri, 5 May 2000 08:18:07 +1000

Morning all, raining here at last, the drought looks broken to me. However,
my other drought still needs sorting out.

I am looking for anyone who might have any information on Samuel DAVIS and
his wife Cecelia Jane, who married in Adelaide 1891 - there are a couple of
Cecelia Jane Davis, including a shop keeper who I think is the "most likely
to be mine lady". Does anyone know anything about any DAVIS from around
that time?

Then there's the sister of Cecelia Jane.

Cecelia had a sister called Edith Emiline who married Walter William SQUIRE
in 1891 as well. (Must have been an expensive year for father Charles the
publican at Woodville) W.W. Squire came from a large family, so I refuse to
believe all his siblings died, or were sterile, somebody must have had kids,
surely? Does anyone know anything about this family or any Squire for that
matter?

I am now sort of coming to the conclusion that my Haynes kids didnt breed
very well. The sisters had a brother Matthew who had one child, and another
brother who went to NSW and had 3 kids, and I am unsure if any of them had
children. It would be a total shame to waste my life looking for
descendants who dont exist, but................ if you dont look, you dont
know, I cant even find their deaths!

I am able to assist with look ups for NSW Tas Vic and SA births and am happy
to help.
