Hi Everyone,

I am resending this message in the hope that perhaps someone missed it
last time. I live in hope!!!!

I have been looking for information on my GGGrandparents who came from
Mecklenburg, Germany. but have come up against a brick wall!!.

Heinrich (Henry) Schrepp, his wife Sophia Pason, their 2 daughters,
Elise/Elize and Sophie/Sophia emmigrated to Nelson, New Zealand on the
"Skiold" in 1844. They were part of a settlement scheme and were brought
out by a Count Ranzau. There were 2 shiploads, the other ship was the "St.
Pauli". I have copies of both the passenger lists, and can do look- ups
for anyone that has an interest. I also have a copy of the original
agreement between Heinrich Schrepp and the agents for Count Ranzau, signed
in 1844.

Heinrich Ernest Schrepp was naturalised in New Zealand but he and his
family only spent about 2 years there and then went to Australia, South
Australia I presume.
His daughter, my GGrandmother, under the name of Agusta/Augusta Shrap was
married to William Thomas Bray Penno in 1867 in Adelaide. I have a date of
1849 in Adelaide as her Birth Date and Place but have been unable to find
any Birth registration for her or her sister Emily or a Death Registration
for Henry Shrap-Schrepp. Augusta died in Sydney in 1928. There is also
mention in the South Australian Register of a marriage of Emily Shrap, 4th
daughter of the late Henry Shrap, farmer near Tanunda, to John Garie in
1866. Would these births and deaths perhaps have been registered in the
District. I have also written to the Lutheran Archives but they have no
record either.

I would be very appreciative of any information on the name Schrepp/Shrap
and their movements in South Australia or where I could perhaps find these
birth and death records.

Many thanks.
