Hi Group

Pam Ward kindly mentioned:

"Some time ago I went to a Cornish Group at SAGHS and one member
talked about his rellies coming out on this ship (Time & Truth). He
provided a single
sheet handout that he had got from, as he wrote, "Cornish History
Society Magazine". The article had been written by A.T.Thomas(3665).
It refers to ship's papers that were supplied to him by State Records
and i wondered if you had all that is available. He speaks of:
1. The tender by the ship owner to the Colonial Land & Emig Commission
2. A Charter Party (contract) 3 foolscap pages fine print specifying
ship's fittings and supplies etc for emigrants
3. Surgeon Superintendent's Report
4. Passenger Complaints
5. Emigration Report
6. Gratuities paid
He was interested in the THOMAS family from Penryn and refers to an
article Journal #51 March 1989. Might be worth checking in case there
was a diary or similar kept. "

Does anyone have any idea who this SAGHS member (researching Thomas from
Penryn, Cornwall) might be? The Time & Truth is also the vessel my Brown
fellow emigrated on.
