Subject: MY NAMES - Finally
Date: Sat, 24 Jul 1999 23:01:20 +1000

Morning all,

I have just fixed the problem with my Brothers Keeper program and printed
off what is nearly my completed tree, it is a most wonderful thing to be
able to look at it and know the effort behind each and every discovery.
Thank you yet again everyone who helped.

My names now comprise COMBE HAYNES JERKINS COURTOY GERMAIN McAULAY - at the
very beginning of SA history, then ANDERSON PORTEOUS HALL HOCKING
GREENHALGH HAINES HILL their descendants today.
In Vic JERKINS TREWAVAS COMBE PLANT .
In NSW/Q'land BEASLEY COCHRANE SPINAZE McFADYEN GREGORY (and a missing
COURTOY branch).
England COURTOY and USA COURTOY, SAMS, MANNING MOREE SALTER

>From my original 35 names found in 6 weeks, I now have, three years later,
398 names, all connected via gossamer threads back to two people who
married in 1806 - I bet my original couple never dreamt, not even in a
million years that their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and
great great grandchildren could spread out so far, and do some of the things
these folk have.

My family tree has Police Commissioners and bushmen, sailors and fighter
pilots, fishermen, gardeners, men of the cloth, publicans, housewives,
solicitors, carpenters, plumbers, a lonely doctor, teachers, nurses, members
of the Masonic Lodge and Odd Fellows, agnostics, Roman Catholics and I think
even an ex Governor of SA gets a mention - I would never have imagined half
of what I have learnt by doing this tree, and encourage everyone to stick
with it, even when the brick walls bounce up at you, cos it is a fantastic
feeling to be able to sit back and just "look at it".

If any of my names ring a bell with you, please contact me, I have a few
endless threads which I would love to tidy up, in particular HAYNES -
probably SA, but could be anywhere, BEASLEY from Rockhampton area,
ANDERSON - SA, CHAPMAN & ARMSTRONG - NSW/Q'land and GREGORY - NSW
