There are no Qld marriage indexes after 31 Dec 1939, we wait in vain for
more, but somewhere along the road they have been delayed.

Some 7 years ago, the then Rgistrar-General made a statement at an opening
of new rooms for the Genealogical Society during Heritage Week that by June
that year (2000) there would be another set of marriage indexes for Qld -
well nothing has changed - we still wait.Although they have now put the
indexes to 1914 on line, but even that does not suit some people.
