I would add my support to Therese. I grew up in Chermside and my parents
called our home "Shawn" which was always included in our return address. In
some cases they may actually have been boarding houses or residentials of

Hi Maggie

It is possible that the MINTO actually stands for the name of the House in
Gladstone Road. A lot of homes were named by the family before street
numbers were introduced. My father's home was called "Belturbet" and he
lived in School Road. That could be one explanation anyway.
