Hi Max,
I just read this Email and may be able to help. The Brisbane City Council
have Archives in the Valley, in Brisbane I think its Doggett St.,. Their E
mail address is The lady in charge is Annabell
Lloyd. I have been there and you have to make an appointment to go they have
lots of records.

I had a quick look online and in my CBD for Tamrookem St, with no success.
I am wondering who was responsible for street names and town planning (if
there was any) in the time you're looking at. Perhaps some part of the
Brisbane City Council would possess such info?
