Other family names include Billingsley, Carruthers, Callicott, Caldwell,
Chambers, Garrett, Gulley, Marsh, Potter, Parr, Proctor, and White.

My brick wall is William "Bill" Shultz who married Martha Harrison. Martha
died around 1870, and Bill (a brick mason) farmed his children around with
various relatives (mostly sisters of Martha) and left the area. He has not
been found since then, but was thought to have run a ferry around Fulton or
even somewhere in Louisiana.

The daughter of Bill Shultz, Elvira Leora Shultz, married my
great-grandfather, Andrew Jackson Mendenhall, who was quite older than she.
After his death, she and her three sons moved to Okolona to a home provided
her by John Hardin.

I would enjoy correspondence concerning ANY of these names.

Other surnames connected to the Yates line include Wood, Ghormley, Bennett
and Sutton, many of whom moved from Nevada to Hempstead County.
