Hi I am new to this list so i wanted to post my Nevada county problem and
see if anyone has a good solution.
My Great Grandfather was Jacob "Jake" Lewis Chamlee born in Louisiana in
1867. In the Census of Nevada County Arkansas of 1880 he was living in the
household of Jonathan Smith with his sister and parent. One look up told me
the parent was his mother and another said it was his father. I am unable to
see a copy of the census for my self so there is my dilemma. I fave been
looking for the parents of Jake Chamlee for over 20 years and this is the
closest I have been.
I have the marriage license for Jacob L. Chamlee and Martha Brantley on
Sept. 1886 in Nevada County Arkansas but they don't tell me weither the
parent is father or mother. If any one has access to the 1880 Census of
Nevada County Arkansas for Missouri township page 474C PLEASE tell me if it
says the relationship is Father or Mother in law.
If any one has any information on the parents and siblings of Jake
Chamlee please let me know.
