Sorry i know nothing on the Jones past 1860 in walker Co Ala.Elvina was an
orphan raised by my Great grandparents.

great grandfather was Joseph Redding Jones. He did not tell us where in
North Carolina he grew up nor did he tell us the names of his parents or
siblings. We did learn that he and his friend killed a man in Mississippi
and they fled to "No Man's Land", Imperial Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana,
about 1875. I'm hoping that either Redden or Redding is his mother's
surname or someone important to their family.

Can you help me trace your Redden line back to the Jones' of North
Carolina?

Robert Henry Redden was born 1850 in Tenn and Married Aug 8 1870 in Boone Co
Ark to Elviny Jones. they lived out their lives at Bellefonte ,ark. Boone Co
. there children were:
Lee W b 1873
Jeff r 1874
Albert f 1879
Emma m 1885
Annie p b 1886.
