To everyone on the Locke, Lock and Arkansas email lists. I wish to
thank you for all your help with the look up's.
This is long but I think very worthy to read :)

There was a very good reason I asked for help and I will share it with
you now :)
Happy ending but a great new begining !

I run what I believe to be the largest Locke family web site on the
net. I have a guest book on that site and it has been up since like
1997. I try to read the guest book often. Recently a man signed my
guest book but only left his name and email address, he didn't leave
any message at all. " kind of hard to make connections if there is no
message lol"

I saw his name and knew it was a rarely used name in the Locke family.
I check my family tree and saw a man with the same name and saw that my
guy could have still been living, so I took a shot in the dark and
emailed him thinking he could be a cousin of mine.
Anyway he wasn't related to me but I took his little bit of information
and looked up the 1930 and 1920 census records for his family.
I emailed him my findings and was right on. This man had stated to me
his Grand Father was Richard F. Locke and that he knew little about his
family and his only known living family were his 2 sisters.

I wanted to find more census records but the 1910 and 1900 census
index's are not online that I am aware of , so I asked all 3 email
lists for help with look up's but I didn't list any names, just asked
for any Lock(e)'s. When that first look up query didn't provide the
names I was looking for, I then popped a 2nd email to the same email
lists and this time I named the Locke men I was searching for.

I just got a email from one of the email list members and she too
stated her Grand Father was Richard F. Locke!
To make this a little shorter, she is the half 1st cousin to the man I
had originally started helping. Apprently they met when small children
but knew nothing about each other since. They are now in contact with
each other. So my help and your all's help have put half 1st cousins
back in touch with each other !
This is the part of research that is so rewarding to me. It doesn't
happen often but I have put quite a few lost family members back in
touch with each other over the years. I have just as much fun
researching my family as much as I do researching other Lock(e)
family's.
I don't know who is shocked more, me or them when I finally find the
connection lol.

I hope Page and Aubrey have a happy new reunion, I know they have a
lot to catch up on! ;)
It was and will continue to be fun helping others and I always enjoy
putting lost family back in touch with each other.

Again thanks to everyone who helped with the look ups' ! :)
