Hi Jeri,
Thanks so much for the lead in Arkansas. It would seem that my
Fortenberry's lived in Miss, Louisana and some in Arkansas before coming to
Texas. If you run across any Holden's let me know. Martha Fortenberry was
married to J.T. Holden and they lived in Arkansas during the Civil War
years. I don't know what happened to J.T.Holden but at some point after the
war, Martha Holden is living in Milam County, Texas with her children. I
found her in 1880 and 1900 in Milam County living next door to my GG
Grandmother, Cecila Ann Fortenberry Johnson in 1880. My grandmother said
they were sisters. Thank you. The Fortenberry stie is really a good one
there in Arkansas.
