Roll call of names:
PHILLIPS: VA-TN-AR - Newton Co.
Absalom Carroll Phillips probably went to AR in the
1860's where he married Sarah Elizabeth Davis.
They both died in Jasper, Newton county, AR.
DAVIS: AR - ? Co.
Sarah Elizabeth Davis is the daughter of James and
Nancy Davis. No idea where they were from.
MOSS: VA-NC-GA-TN-KY-AR - Boone/Newton/Crawford
Luallen C. Moss was the son of James Moss and
Nancy McEntere. He married Eliza Millsap in GA
in 1845 and moved to AR before 1880. Luallen and
Eliza died in AR, but a son moved to Wagoner Co., OK.
KING: NC-GA-AR-OK - Pope Co.
Nicholas Wheeler King married Mary Frances "Mollie"
Jackson in GA. Their 7th child was the first born in
AR in 1881. They probably came to AR in 1880 or
early 1881. Nicholas may have died in AR. Mollie
and the children were in OK in the 1900 census. No
sign of Nicholas.
Sorry to be late with this. I've been on a roots hunt in
Kentucky for my husband's family.
