Ganson, Amos --- Believed to have moved to Arkansas in the spring of
1857 - (He left a wife and five children in Illinois with $1.00 in cash
and a $100 debt !)
We have no information as to place. His age would have been approx
47 and he may have been accompanied. His occupation was Blacksmith, but
he also engaged in farming, and tried storekeeping in Illinois before he
ran off.
Any leads greatly appreciated. Amos is a most difficult man to
track down. He was constantly on the move during his life, and may not
have settled in Arkansas for very long.

Wayne Ganson,
