Hi, I am looking for leads on Joe F. Lewis and his family. He moved to Ark.
from Ms. in1881, and lived outside of Paris Ark. until his death. He is
burried at Oakwood cemetery in Paris. Four sons...Jim of Melton, Okla,Bud
Baxter and Wiley[ my grandfather]....Three daughter, Mrs Stella Sievers,
Duncan, Ola. Mrs Dollie Morris and MrsDave Carroll,of Paris, 26
grandchildern and 19 grate-grandchildern....
He was born in MS.and served in the Confederate army under a Gen Bangs.
Part of the trouble is there is no record of a Gen. Bangs....there was
Bangs on the union side but not the south.....

Also looking for the Family ou James S. Ballinger of Spieerville and
buried at McVay cemetery.. 12 childern Mrs Bob Brsdshaw, Paris; Mrs Wiley
Lewis, Waco, Tx. [my grandmother] Mrs.Mit Oliver,Paris; Mrs Baxter Lewis,
Mena; Mrs Arile Terry, Charleston: Mrs Ernest Eason,England.Ark.; Mrs Paul
Bartsch, Subiaco; Jess Ballinger, Paris, Luther Ballinger,
Independence,MO..; Opie Ballinger, England; Laster Ballinger, England;
Willie Ballinger, Centerville; two sisters Mrs Sid Gooch, Hall Tenn..; Mrs
Hudson,Memphis, Tenn..
