Arkansas gave pensions to Confederate veterans, but they had to claim
financial need. Arkansas Historical Commission in Little Rock has those
records. It would show where the person lived at the time he applied and
what unit he said he was in. The one I have has an application date of
1912. The form has 191__ for the date so, 1912 is probably typical.
