I am loooking for my g.g.g.grandfather, John Thomas Scott's Civil War
Records.

I find two (2) John T. Scotts

Both show in film #M376, roll 21.One is shown as 2 Lieutenant
Also, one is shown as a Private in Johnston's Miss Infantry.

Could anyone tell me which one, how to find out which one I am looking for?
Other info I have on my g.g.g.grandfather is Pvt. John T. Scott was w/ Capt.
WJA Boon's Co. (Desoto Grays) 1st Regt Miss Vols that subsequently became
Co. D. Johnston's Regiment, Miss. Infanctry. Muster Roll Aug 27, to Aug 27,
1862. Last paid Feb 28, 1863. Captured Port Hudson, La on July 9, 1863.
