The elusive Nathan and Lousia Curry have been our family mystery for more than twenty years
1. Nathan Curry b. approx. 1860 Ill. or ind. (am blind and reading program has trouble with thes abbrev. )
d. after 1934 (possibly ok) according to his daughter obit Nathan was living in Keota,ok with "2 wife" Molly cooper
Nathan had only One daughter known to us (dau. info to follow at bottom)
Nathan Md. Louisa ?(maiden name unknown) 1882 Evansville,ark (have marriage record in which ) Louisa signed her name as "Mrs. Louisa Shipley"
louisa b. approx1851 (approx 10 years between her and nathan)
Louisa died before 1930as she is not on 1930 census but she and Nathan are on 1910 &1920 census for Ark.
according to family papers etc. Louisa had 5 daughters before she married Curry.
Did her daughters belong to "Shipley"? Where was she and Shipley married?
according to papers Louisa had a male person (not sure if friend or intimate ) named "joe Carrigan"
Family suspects Louisa maiden name to be "Clark" (clark)

she is possibly buried in Mt. Salem cem. near Elikins ark.
According to obit for dau. they had a son James Curry living in Fayetteville,Ark in 1934
I have nothing on James.


Freaky fact: Louisa had two granddaughters by her daughter (Ruie Bellecurry) named Louisa b. approx.1909 ark. This Louisa had two sons. and is buried in Ok cem. under name of "louisa Shipley" she died in 1975.

Louidsa and Nathan daughter is Ruie "Belle" Curry Jordan. b. approx1882 ark.
d. Feb. 1934 Muskogee,ok
buried in greenhillcem,Muskogee,ok.
A death cert was never filed for Belle Curry Jordan.

any help with death,marriage,cem. records or other would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I am blind and have trouble with my program reading some documents such census records. It hates them and will not read them.
Note:in regards to Nathan curry . I believe I found on th blm where he had 40 acres in ark. He is only nathan curry listed for about right time.
Also looking for info on possible
"Shipley cem. in Washington Ark"
