Subject: [AR-SURNAMES] GRAHAM in Union and Ouachita Counties, Ark. in 1800's

Hi,

I am searching for info on my Graham ancestors, who lived in Union Co.,
Arkansas in the 1830's and 1840's possibly. The Head of Household was
probably William Graham; not sure of the wife's name. One son, John Graham,
was born ca 1819 or 1820, possibly in Illinois. He had four brothers,
probably younger but not sure.

In the early 1840's, the family left Arkansas and went north, possibly to
Iowa or that area. John died there in 1850 of pneumonia. After the death of
their parents, the four brothers left the state, going on horseback in three
different directions. Two (oldest and youngest) could have settled in the
Carolinas.

If this rings a bell to any Graham descendant or researcher, let me know.

Thank you,

Shirley
Louisiana
