Hello
I do not know if this will help but I knew a Eva a few years ago in CA.

She married a Dearmore in MO somewhere around Springfield or not far from there.

He was a lot older than her at the time. They hopped trains for awhile and lived in different states until they settled in CA.

They had one boy and I think 3 girls and one child that died in AZ while living there.

The girls are or was still living in 1994 but do not know exactly where they are now.
Two was in Stanislaus Co CA. and where Mr. Dearmore died.

I believe Eva died or is in a convalscent home with alzhimers. One of her dau. who moved to NV from Merced, CA took her to take care of when she became that way.

Eva told me her husbands name many times but it has been to long to remember.
They had been divorced for several years when I first met her.

Maybe you can look in the CA death Index and find them or the regular SSA death index.

It seems like her father in law was a Pencostal preacher.

Hi Will,

I do not have a name for the first wife of William P.What I have on the
first wife is just hear say, but that is it. The name of Isabella's husband was
William James Dearmore Jr.

I do not have the probate packet on William P. but I do have a copy of the
Administrators Bond and it is dated 3/4/1899. How do you go about getting
the probate packet?

I have been in contact with some of descendants of Arch but none of them
know for sure about him. I believe he would have served time in jail in
Arkansas. Do you know of any way of tracing that? The sister named Asenith was
committed to a mental hospital by her brother, my grandfather, probably before
1930.

Is your Johnson family from Arkansas?

Probate is a county function. So you would write to the Clerk of the Probate
Court, or perhaps just the Clerk of the Court, or sometimes they might just
be called the County Clerk. At any rate, you can give a call or letter to the
Courthouse to ask them, firstly, exactly who to write to and what the address
should be and the cost. I would expect they might charge as much as
twenty-five cents per page to photocopy the packet. Alternatively you could check the
online FHC library index at www.familysearch.org to see if the probate packets
have been filmed by the LDS yet.

I don't know specifically about *prison* records, but there are dozens of
places where you could check for a criminal court case. Basically any county
judge could commit a criminal to prison. Start in the county where you know he
lived. The Court minutes are public documents.

My Johnson family was in Hempstead County by 1870. Jesse Johnson and his
wife Edna.
Prior to that, Jesse was living with his father in Paulding Co, GA . I do
not know Edna's maiden name yet.

Will Johnson
