Capture of Little Rock--Retreat of Gen. Price.

Cairo, Sept. 17.--Rear Admiral Porter has received
a despatch stating that Little Rock, Ark., was
occupied by Gen. Steele on the 10th, without fighting or
loss of consequence. Price, who commands the
rebels, was rapidly retreating, with Gen. Davidson in
hot pursuit.

Little Rock, Ark., Sept. 10.--Major Gen. Halleck,
General-in-Chief: We have just entered Little
Rock. The cavalry, under Gen. Davidson, is pushing
the enemy, who are in full retreat South.
