Hi,
DECKER, GEORGE Pvt
Enlisted 13Mar1862 at Pocahontas, AR in Co G, Turnbull's Bn Inf which
subsequently became Co G, 25th AR Inf.
He died in a hospital at Memphis, TN 24Apr1862.
In this same company was:
DECKER, C.M. Cpl
Enl 13Mar1862 in the same company as above.
He was wounded at Chickamauga, GA 19Sep1863. AWOL after 22Feb1864.
C.M.DECKER is shown also in Co F, 45th AR Cav as paroled 5Jun1865 at
Jacksonport, AR
Age 28, hr 5' 11", born in TN, eyes blue, hair lt, complx fair.
Some of the 25th was known at the beginning as the 30th Inf. There was
already a 30th Inf so the designation was changed to the 25th.
I find no evidence of Daniel John Decker's service.
The only record of the 45th Cav that survived was the parole records that
came after the surrender.
The 45th was organized as a part of Gen Price's Missouri Raid.
Thanks,
eg
