Hello Joann,
When i sent that message i overlooked the possibility that there are people
who have never been to the website i mentioned. Thanks to your letter I am
reminded of countless times I have searched for information. It is always
easier once you have been to a site. I found that i do forget a good site so
now I bookmark the site so i can get back there.
Here is how you can get to the States sites.
type in
rootsweb.com
When the rootsweb homepage comes up,
scroll down to- other tools and resources.
click on States resources.
Roots-L resources U.S. resources will appear.
This page has military data for all wars and information from all States.
Scroll down to USA State By State Resources.
Click on Arkansas resources page.
scroll down to,
Confederate Units.
Just below them is the Union units.
i hope this explaination will get you there.
If you have any problems let me know.
Thank you again for reminding me to explain directions better.
Enjoy your search. As you have seen there is a lot of information on every
page I directed you to.
Happy Digging,
Cloyd Nelson
Meridian, Idaho
