I am looking for any documentation on a Nathaniel Merritt serving in the Civil War. It is rumored that he served in the Arkansas Volunteers. I found a listing on ancestry.com for a Nathaniel Merritt in Co. G 9th Arkansas Infantry,but I need additional info to know if this is the right person. Any help greatly appreciated!
