I moved back to northern Virginia in January
'07, after an absence of nearly 20 years.
When I lived here in the mid1980s, I lived in
extreme western Alexandria, overlooking
scenic <g> I-395. Now I live in northeastern
Alexandria, within walking distance of
Arlington's Crystal City section and a few
minutes by car from Old Town Alexandria. Same
town, but _very_ different.

To my family, I live in "Washington."

I take public transportation to, from and in
the District. (I have a car but I don't take
it into the District. Too aggravating and too
expensive (parking).)
