Although it is still a little over 4 months until the once-a-year event at
Samford University occurs, 7 of the 11 courses offered have reached maximum
registration. This year's Institute for Genealogy and Historical Research
promises to have in-depth one-week-long courses on a variety of topics. If
you were thinking of going in June, please check the website at

It is never too early to make a long-range educational plan for yourself.
IGHR offers some classes each year and some on a rotating basis. Now is the
time to consider your continuing education plan and see which course at IGHR
you wish to take and what year they are offered. Please check their website
at http://www.samford.edu/schools/ighr/IGHR_future.html to see the planned
courses. Place a note on your October or November calendar this year to
check the website for registration details for 2009 and make your plans with
your friends. But don't wait too long! Some of the most popular courses sell
out within a month of opening.
