Gladys,
In PAF5 go to TOOLS in the toolbar, click on Preferences, click on the tab
GENERAL, uncheck the box that reads "Use LDS Data". That's it.

Great program, I use it as my main database and it is written to work with
the databases in www.familysearch.org.
