Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to read very faint pencil manuscript. I am reading a manuscript journal that a fellow kept while he traelled from New York to New Orleans, circa 1847. For the most part the journal is very readable. The only problem is on the inside cover is the gentleman's name and the pencilling (it is written in pencil) is very faint and extremely difficult to make out. Any thoughts?
