Subject: passport application
Date: Thu, 3 Feb 2005 23:07:35 -0800
On November 1, I sent for a passport application under the FOIA. The
original application was filed about February 4, 1957. The applicant died on
October 2, 1991. I sent a copy of her death certificate with my request and
a check for $60. The check cleared my bank on November 15. I have heard
nothing from the Department of State.
Is this normal? When should I expect to receive the application? Has anyone
made a request recently? I'm having a hard time finding a name or number of
anyone to contact at the Department of State. Any ideas?
