My thoughts go back to the renown genealogist in South Carolina named
Leonardo Andrea who died in the middle of the 20th century and his widow
later gave permission to have all of his files placed on deposit at the
South Carolina Department of Archives and History. Now those files have
been microfilmed and copies are in print and in the holdings of many
large libraries throughout the United States, i.e. FHL, Clayton Library
in Houston, etc.

I have no idea what transpired during this transition of ownership but I
feel surely the SCDAH could help with some advice on this material.
